How to find Camino Art House

HOW CAN I GET TO CAMINO ART HOUSE, SAN MATEO?

Camino Art House is located in Vega de San Mateo, Gran Canaria. First, you need to arrive at the island. You can fly to Las Palmas (LPA) airport. Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Las Palmas or Agaete port.

Our 90-year-old building faces the beautiful Mireles valley. Locals know it as Finca de Mireles. The building sits behind a large yellow building by the road. Therefore, look for our entrance between the big yellow building and the smaller house with a white gate.

Pro tip: Please find our door with the “Camino” sign before ringing any doorbells. This way, you won’t disturb our neighbors.

By car

From Las Palmas

Take the direction to Tafira, then Santa Brigida, and finally San Mateo. We are on road GC15, around km 9.4.

From the Airport

First, head towards Las Palmas. Before entering the city, keep left. Next, take the road to Galdar/Tamaraceite. Then, keep right and exit towards Tafira. After that, follow signs to Tafira/Santa Brigida. Finally, continue to San Mateo. We are on road GC15, around km 9.4.

From Central Gran Canaria

Take road GC15 from Tejeda. We are located at km 9.4.

Parking: Please respect our parking rules. You can park by the road behind the line. Start from the bottom part of the side rail and go upwards.

By BUs

From Las Palmas

Take bus 303 from San Telmo park (main bus station). Get off at the stop called “Vuelta el Chorillo.” Then, walk 300 meters back downhill. You’ll find us by the road, behind the big white building.

Ticket price: €2.55 one way

From the Airport

First, take bus 60 to San Telmo park in Las Palmas. Then, change to bus 303 heading to San Mateo. Get off at “Vuelta de Chorillo” stop. After that, walk back downhill about 300 meters.

Ticket prices:

• Airport to Las Palmas: €2.45
• Las Palmas to San Mateo: €2.55

From Tejeda

Take bus 305 from Tejeda to San Mateo. Then, walk approximately 25 minutes to reach us (about 1.6 km). Alternatively, take bus 303 to “Vuelta de Chorillo” stop. We are behind the big white building.

From Ferry Ports

From Las Palmas Ferry Port: Take the pickup bus from the boat to Santa Catalina park. Next, take a local yellow bus (1, 11, or 12) to San Telmo Park. Finally, take Global Bus 303 to Vuelta de Chorillo.

From Agaete Ferry Port: Take Global bus 103 to San Telmo Park Las Palmas. Then, change to bus 303 to Vuelta de Chorillo.

By Bike

By bike please find the road GC15 we are about the km 9,4. There is a bike shop in San Mateo.

Walking

You can also arrive walking, just follow the road nr15. From Tejeda is about 20 kms, just like from Telde, it is also about 20kms walk.
You can also make real hiking on different routs, for example from Valsequillo, from Teror, from Pico de las Nieves, from Santa Brigida, from Utiaca, from Caldera de Bandama.
