Let me Bloom ’25 – art and self-development festival

Let Me Bloom is a mini art and self-development festival in the wild valley of Los Mireles, in Vega de San Mateo, Gran Canaria. Spring is the time when nature blooms and a new era of growing and maturing starts. We, as humans, need this growth more than ever. We need to unlearn our toxic habits and make space for real, original values, like empathy, care, creativity, synchronicity and learning to live in harmony with nature and other beings around us.
Two essential tools on this journey are art and education. You can be creative or just let yourself take it all in; everyone will be part of the whole. We are inviting you to participate in this mini festival, where many artists, performers and different teachers will share their knowledge and spread their passion to art so we can enjoy and grow in different skills, like communication, creativity or empathy. The festival takes place in Camino Art House.
The festival is a small, but inspiring three-day event in our magical valley. The venues of the different events, performances and workshops will be hidden in the land, in the caves, and under the trees. We imagine beautiful, inspiring and meaningful moments that we share while taking in, practicing, or performing art in nature. The mini stages will host all kinds of activities, they might be performances, where the audience is observing, interactive shows where the audience is involved, or workshops where the participants learn something new, or practice a special skill. The artists, performers, and teachers might perform their own show at one time and teach a connecting (or totally different) skill at another time in a different venue. We are all artists, and we are all students. Teaching and learning, performing and in-taking art are almost the same, we all meet in the beautiful line in the middle.

Program teasing
Capoeira is the Afro-Brazilian martial art that was developed during the colonization of Brazil. It was the art of oppressed people, the slaves. Capoeira thrives for freedom through the movement of your body. Capoeira represents Brazil and provides a lifelong journey of learning and living the depths and beauty of its culture.
Among the many schools that aim to cultivate and spread the cultural and philosophical inheritance of slavery, ABADÁ (Associação Brasileira de Apoio e Desenvolvimento da Arte-Capoeira – ABADÁ-Capoeira) is one of the biggest schools, founded by Mestre Camisa in 1988. The school is based in Rio de Janeiro but is represented all over the world, including Hungary and Spain.

Contact dance with Raquel

In this workshop we will explore conscious contact here and now with ourselves, with other bodies and the environment. We will learn some basic technical aspects such as rolling, the use of weight, balance, flying and landing, spiral forms, etc., listening and allowing our own continuous and authentic movement. Always in a wordless dialogue with the other. With the support of music, and also from what genuinely emerges in silence.

Meeting the inapropiate one
Ruth, Gaianna, and Eugenia’s journey began in the heart of an ecovillage and peace research project in Portugal—a sanctuary where community, transformation, and deep connection intertwined. Now, they are weaving that same magic into a healing community residency in San Mateo, a space designed for those craving authenticity, reflection, and soulful growth.

With years of experience living in intentional communities and transition-oriented spaces, they bring both wisdom and presence to their work. Ruth and Eugenia hold sacred heart circles, creating containers for raw truth and deep healing, while Gaianna masterfully guides workshops on everything from shadow work to the art of community-building. Together, they invite you into a space where healing meets belonging, where stories are honored, and where transformation is not just possible—but inevitable.

It is very simple to cheat with images and we shouldn’t believe in them unconditionally. Not easy to look behind the images but also not impossible, sometimes you have to close your eyes listening to your intuition. – said László F. Földényi.
I would like us to think and talk about melancholy. What does it mean? Where is it? What does it look like? What does it feel like? How old is it? What shape does it have? And what colour? How could we picture it? Our guide will be the magnificent book (In Praise of Melancholy) from the above-mentioned Hungarian critic, essayist and art theorist, László F. Földényi. With our creative photographic interpretation we might have an interesting journey in this subject.
My name is Anita Spingár. I have a degree of master’s in Photography, I live in Hungary.
