Let me Fall ’24

Art and Self-development Festival

15-17 November (0.day: 14. november), 2024

Falling, most of the time is associated with pain, failure, depression. But falling is nothing like that! Falling is natural process of the circle of nature. We call autumn the Fall. This is the time when we fall back to our peace, to our tranquility, to our real nature. Falling is necessary for change. And we need the change constantly. Life is a never ending change!
We want to encourage you to not to be afraid of falling. You can trust Gravity, and there will be always something or someone to hold you up. It is OK to fall, and it is OK to lose control time to time, it is OK to fail. Nowadays in society falling represents defeat, non-success and it is something that we need to hide, keep in secret or feel ashamed about. This is all wrong! We all need to fall to find the better way, to learn to stand up and grow, to get stronger.

a small festival

The festival is a small, but inspiring three-day event in our magical valley. The venues of the different events, performances and workshops will be hidden in the land, in the caves, and under the trees. We imagine beautiful, inspiring and meaningful moments that we share while taking in, practicing, or performing art in nature. The mini stages will host all kinds of activities, they might be performances, where the audience is observing, interactive shows where the audience is involved, or workshops where the participants learn something new, or practice a special skill. The artists, performers, and teachers might perform their own show at one time and teach a connecting (or totally different) skill at another time in a different venue. We are all artists, and we are all students. Teaching and learning, performing and in-taking art are almost the same, we all meet in the beautiful line in the middle.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD

We still have a few beds available in private and in the dorm room, or in our tents (equipped with mattress, blankets and pillow). If these places are not available any more, you will need to bring your own tent and sleeping bag. During the festival, our kitchen will turn into a mini restaurant. There will be choices for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack meals and drinks. Drinking water will be all the time available for everyone for free: the tap water is perfect to consume but we also have a large volcanic rock water filter that you can enjoy. You are welcome to visit the Tea House as well, to try tea specialties.

FACILITIES

The facilities of the old house are limited, so we have built extra showers and dry toilets in the land. The kitchen will be closed for public use in these days, food, coffee, drinks will be available for extra moderate cost.
Parking is NOT available on site. If you arrive by car, you will need to park your vehicle in Madronal, or in San Mateo and walk to Camino Art House. This distance is about 800-1200 meter. Be aware that there is NO pathway by the road so you will need to walk on the asphalt road with the traffic so always pay especial attention and carry a light with you.
Our land is located in a valley, moving around in the area can be challenging, and sometimes needs special attention. For this reason – although we did our best to secure the area -, we are asking you to be responsible for yourself and you will need to sign an individual disclaimer when entering the site.
We are happy to see you soon at Camino Art House!

Camino Art House opened its doors in 2015. Since than we have offered accommodation and have run different projects with artists. This includes exhibitions, workshops in art, health and lifestyle topics, and many more events. We welcome travellers who are always happy to be involved in our daily life and share their own experiences with us.
We have an old building, which is the central house, and a large land, where the festival will take place. We have caves, meadows, and terraces to use. The house itself will not accommodate all of us, so we will open a special camp site for visitors.

Add a descriptive title for the column.

This season in Camino is a lot about „spacing”. Making available room, time, energy for a change, for something new to receive and intake. We already have a few confirmation from amazing teachers, performers and facilitators who will share their knowledge and skills with you. Here is a small buch of what we can enjoy during the event:

In the movement sections
Timi (hu) and Viki (hu) will guide you in an improvisation flow. Miisa (fi) is a master of somatic movement, Karin (hu) will lead you to a rooting experience in a dance flow and movement meditation.
Yoga, mindfulness, energy work:
We will have a whole section about feminine energies and cycles with Alena (de), healing thai massage surrounded by healing sounds with Rosaura (sp) and Daniel (de). Bea will guide you some mediation sessions either in one of the caves or outdoor in the morning hours.
In the arts:
On the zero day, 14th november we open the festival with the performance of the ’Spacing’ Dance Camp group. The performance is open for public and will followed by a small camp fire ceremony and music jam.
3 talented musicians are responsible for the evening music secions, they are called Las Burekas, they will bring eastern and balkanic tones with guitar, violin and harmonica. Be ready for music related workshops too: music improvisation by the members of the music band, beats creation by Gergo (hu), and sound mapping by Marton (hu). Gergo will also teach us how to make light prints with aquarell. You can also attend to a playful art therapy session that will help you to go back to your childhood and build a fantasy kingdom.
For the detailed program please follow this link: Let me Fall 24 Program
Please note that probably the program will be changing and extended in the next days/weeks, so it is good to have a look at it time to time for the most updated version.

Some teasing for the workshops:

Root & Flow workshop by Karin. Let’s connect with the Earth element through movement and playful discovery. Root and recharge through somatic grounding practices and liberate your body through dance. Experience full release through the practice of shaking, ignite your inner fire, and explore playing with Nature`s elements through guided improvisation. Dance can be healing, soothing, relaxing, energizing, motivating, inspiring, let`s explore, how! The session will be accompanied by Karin Heller, certified Prana Vinyasa Yoga and TranceDance instructor, Contemporary Dance graduate at Malta University. Karin is a mother of two teenage children, she has been teaching and assisting trainings since 2012 and is currently working on developing a new program fusing somatic dance practices and yoga. Class description: “Synchronic translation” (for all level) by Viki and Timi
In this class we investigate the connection between movement and voice, words, text. We listen how voice comes out from our body, how it is just an “alternative” breath. How it comes with the motion. We synchronize each other’s dance with voice and each other’s voice with movement. We also use words, text and gibberish. Can we concentrate on the spoken words and the movement at the same time? Or it can come unconsciously?  We play with gibberish as an improvised text. At the end we combine all of these with contact duets, trios and with group improvisation – and we’ll see.

Beat maker workshop by Gergo: Brief introduction in to music production, with the iconic maschine used for hip-hop music. Prepare your samples , and make your beats! Gergo will introduce the machine for us, and later on in the day or the following day will gather with one or two of you and play out the beats that you want to creat. On Sunday evening we will listen to your creations!

Art therapy workshop by Bea. Imagine time travel is real. You can touch, smell, taste and feel your past. You are in the past! This is where you create your narrative. At the end of the workshop your hi(story) will become the part of the whole. We use all kinds of natural material.

BUILDING BRIDGES: The Power of Knowing H E R natural rhythm
a men’s circle
with Alena
This circle is about opening dialogue and creating a supportive space for men to understand the superpower of women through their natural cyclic rhythm.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your romantic relationship, be a more supportive family member, or simply gain a deeper appreciation of the women in your life, this workshop will provide valuable tools and insights.
In this circle – workshop, we will:
Uncover the four seasons of the feminine cycle and how each phase brings different strengths, needs, and energies.
Explore how understanding the cycle can enhance relationships, communication, and support.
Learn practical tools for nurturing empathy, improving emotional awareness, and fostering deeper connections with the women around you.
Gain insights into how women’s cycles can impact daily life, work, and relationships, and how you can support them in each phase.
Alena is a yoga teacher & coach, focused on empowering women by embracing feminine energy. After years of living in her masculine energy, she realized it was preventing her partner from stepping into his own. Over the past three years, Alena has deepened her connection with her body and the feminine cycle, believing that only when women truly know themselves can they communicate their needs and create harmonious relationships with men. Based in Las Palmas and Germany, her vision is to foster healthy, fulfilling relationships where men and women thrive together in balance.

Cave Soundhealing & Massage with Rosaura and Daniel: A contemplative and comforting experience for the senses, in the mystical embrace of the Dragon Cave. Allow yourself to float in the silence, submerge in the music and release through therapeutic touch. 1h session (incl 5-10min massage) Only 10 spots available!

Plant walk & Herbal Smudge Workshop with Rosaura: Let’s explore the paths of Camino to recognize the local flora and gather medicinal plants. Afterwards we will create Smudge Sticks together on the cozy terrace of the Tea House.

Upcycled music instrument playground – this is the idea of Marton (hu) who will also lead a Sound Mapping workshop. Why not build instruments from trash? They have special sounds and they deserve a second chance in life! After building the instruments we will have a jam session in the evening in Nispero

Las Burekas is a multinational band based in Budapest but always on road seeking for inspiration. The name simbolyses the bridges between the folk musics of Eastern Europe and Latin America. Alan the accordionist is belarussian, raised in the US, Caspar the guitarist is british-hungarian, while Laci the violinist is transylvanian-hungarian. All of the members has its own musical roots that they play in other bands in the hungarian ‘world music scene’. A tasty gulash of travelling musicians, exploring the party inducing healing principles of groovy dance music from the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. We operate under the old village principles of circle dancing and pig fat consumption, whilst retaining our roots in modern city life by using our instruments as disco weapons.
