SUMMARY:„Zero Point” – The Slow Camp
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to take your time? \n\n\n\nIs this your time to slow down? Recharge? Or to learn how to relax? Does your body\, spirit or mind need a retreat? We are here to help you! For these five days we will have Camino Art House only for us and we will take our time with everything we do! It will seem strange at first\, but it is essential to learn how to retreat\, restart or recharge. We will give you tools that you can apply into your life to become more conscious\, balanced and healthier. The Zero Point has many different aspects and all has a similar approach: being in balance. It’s often associated with the concept of zero-point energy\, which is the lowest possible energy a system can have\, a foundational state of existence. The Zero Point is a state of pure potential\, limitless possibility\, and fundamental awareness\, often linked to quantum physics and meditation practices. It’s a concept that suggests a foundational state of being\, where everything originates and from which all things arise. Zero-point consciousness is viewed as a state of being where everything is possible\, a boundless realm of creative energy.  \n\n\n\nWhy slow down? \n\n\n\nYou are Here! And Now! Allow yourself this prescious moment! It takes practice to be able to find this conscious\, fulfilling state. We offer you the special opportunity to learn\, give space for the practice and teach the tools to maintain it more and more oftern in your regular life. \n\n\n\nSlowing down can improve mental and physical well-being\, increase mindfulness and focus\, and lead to better decisions and more meaningful experiences. It can also help reduce stress and prevent burnout by allowing for breaks and reflection. Allow yourself the time to listen to your body. Allow yourself to bring your attention to your surroundings\, allow yourself to connect with nature\, your body\, mind and soul. The slow camp is a few days in the year when you can get familier with listening to your needs\, and maintin a gentle connection with yourself and your environment withoug judgments. You can learn\, or come back to this practice to bring to your every days. \n\n\n\nDo you ever give time for yourself to wander? To feel? To stay still? To be quiet? What happens when you don’t need to answer masseges\, or be available or you become silent? What happens in your body? In your soul? In this few days at Camino Art House you can figure it out! \n\n\n\nWhat you will learn and practice?\n\n\n\nInner observation\, mediation\, breathing\, mindfulness\, being present\, communicate with your body\, quiet down your mind\, live the experiences fully\, connect to yourself and others\, recognize your needs and desires\, find your bounderies\, relax our body and mind\, communicate with your body\, listen more. A few practices that we use to learn:do one thing at a timedo it slowly and deliberatelydo it completelydo lessput space between thingsdevelop ritualsdesignate time for certain thingsdevote time to sittingmeditatesmile and serve otherslive simplyjournalremember your dreams Classes/activites that you can join during your time in the Slow CampStorytelling\, pranayama\, yin yoga\, meditation (guided\, mindful)\, soundbath\, art making\, writing/journeling\, wild herb walk\, cooking\, cacao ceremony\, campfire\, music jams\, mindful talks/presentations\, mindful movement\, qi gong\, voice improvisation\, contact dance\, gardening October 29 /4pm  – November 2 /4pm Daily program:8-9 morning meditation/yoga/pranayama9-10.30 breakfast (we keep noble silence until the end of breakfast)10.30-11.30 your own time11.30-13 class (1×1.5h class)13-15 lunch15-18 class (2×1.5h class)18-20 dinner20-22 evening program This is the guidelin for the daily programs\, they are invitation for your to participate. If your own timing is not allowing you to participate it is totally fine. Maybe you found a beautiful spot in the land and you want to stay there longer\, or you want to take more time with your bathing ritual\, no problem\, take your own time! But if you decide to show up for the classes\, please arrive in time! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Principals:\n\n\n\nMindfulness: Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment\, without judgment\, allowing awareness of thoughts\, feelings\, and sensations as they arise \n\n\n\nSimple living: it refers to practices that promote simplicity in one’s lifestyle. Common practices of simple living include reducing the number of possessions one owns\, depending less on technology and services\, and spending less money. During the camp you will be accommodated in caves (they are clean and cozy)\, you will have the opportunity to use dry toilets (and save water)\, or shower in the outdoor showers with cold water (and save power with not using the water boiler). We have filtered water\, so no need to buy your bottled water. We have a second-hand clothes shop\, where you can find pieces for 1€ if you need more layers\, so you can travel with a small bag. \n\n\n\nYutori: a japanese concept of spaciousness. It refers to slowing down to simply breathe\, and savor life – intentionally creating space to relax and reflect without being under constant pressure. Nobody will force you to hurry up! \n\n\n\nDigital detox: the camp is mostly device free. We invite you to use your phone/computers/music device only one hour a day\, including the sleeping hours. We will agree on this hour together. Giving up on devices will encourages awareness of technology use and is aimed at mitigating digital dependency and promoting offline engagement. \n\n\n\nNon-judgmental: Practicing being not judgmental with ourselves will benefit us with learning how to be non-judgmental with others. With inner observation we get to a state of being where one observes the world without being attached to the experiences or emotions\, acting as an inner witness\, and let go of judgmental perceptions.   \n\n\n\nNoble silence: During the camp we practice noble silence until the end of the breakfast (from waking up until 10am) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFood / food making\n\n\n\nWe prepare our food together\, we will ask you to sign up for each meal to help. All the others are welcome to help as well\, but we need to know to whom we can count on. We will eat very simple but whole vegan food\, adjusting to the „slow food” principals. If you are following a special timing in your diet (for example fasting or intermitten fasting) feel free to pack for later\, we are happy to provide boxes. Please notify us about your special diet when applying to the camp! What will you benefit from the Slow Camp?Mental and Emotional Well-being:Stress ReductionReduced BurnoutIncreased MindfulnessBetter Decision-MakingImproved Focus Physical Health:Lower Blood PressureImproved SleepEnhanced Physical Health Other Benefits:Deeper Connections to yourself and to othersIncreased CreativityMore Meaningful ExperiencesEnhanced Productivity Facilitators:Bea Baltavari\, meditation\, yoga\, cooking\, voice impro\, writing\, etc\, storytelling\, art making\, wild herbsJudit Miklos\, pranayama\, yoga\, cooking\, gardening  Contribution for the campTotal 375 (shared) or 440 (private for one person) or 750 (private for two person – double bed)Including 4×3 meals\, 4 nights\, facilitatior fees How to apply? If you would like to participate in the Slow Camp please write an e-mail to caminoart@caminart.org. SUMMARY:The Sea That Invades the Land\, Fish Conquer Our Spaces – An Upside-Down World Between Dream and Photography
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Aurora in The Den! We are happy to invite you to her exhibition opening on the 8th May\, 2025\, at 7pm (address: C/Alonso Alvarado 7) Please find her on instagram\, and get to know her work: auroraboreal._._.__ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis photographic project turns the world upside down. For once\, it’s not humans invading the oceans with boats\, noise\, and pollution. It’s the fish who emerge\, claiming our landscapes with surreal\, unnatural colors and a presence that feels both alien and strangely familiar. \n\n\n\nThrough the ancient technique of cyanotype\, the landscapes of the Canary Islands are stripped of their physical weight and transformed into a monochromatic sea\, fluid and undefined\, suspended somewhere between memory and dream. These are no longer solid grounds but liquid environments where fish glide effortlessly\, while we\, the observers\, remain on the outside\, separated by an invisible barrier. \n\n\n\nThe project proposes a radical shift in perspective. What if we are no longer the ones in control? What if what we call ours begins to be inhabited\, even governed\, by other forms of life\, quieter\, freer\, more instinctively in tune with the world? \n\n\n\nThis is more than a visual experiment. It is a conceptual reflection on the present moment. A world in which fish are no longer passive victims of human activity but active presences in a reimagined ecosystem. A quiet reminder that nature might outlive us and even reinvent itself without us. \n\n\n\nWelcome to a new world\, strange\, silent and deeply poetic\, where fish no longer swim in our oceans\, they swim through us.

SUMMARY:Let me Bloom ’25 – art and self-development festival
DESCRIPTION:Let me Bloom ’25 – art and self-development festival \n\n\n\nLet Me Bloom is a mini art and self-development festival in the wild valley of Los Mireles\, in Vega de San Mateo\, Gran Canaria. Spring is the time when nature blooms and a new era of growing and maturing starts. We\, as humans\, need this growth more than ever. We need to unlearn our toxic habits and make space for real\, original values\, like empathy\, care\, creativity\, synchronicity and learning to live in harmony with nature and other beings around us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTwo essential tools on this journey are art and education. You can be creative or just let yourself take it all in; everyone will be part of the whole. We are inviting you to participate in this mini festival\, where many artists\, performers and different teachers will share their knowledge and spread their passion to art so we can enjoy and grow in different skills\, like communication\, creativity or empathy. The festival takes place in Camino Art House. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are looking for facilitators and performers who understands and stands for the values that we represent. If you want to take part of the next Let me Bloom festival from 13 to 16 March\, 2025\, please send your introduction and portfolio to caminoart@caminoart.org until 20th February. \n\n\n\nThe festival is a small\, but inspiring three-day event in our magical valley. The venues of the different events\, performances and workshops will be hidden in the land\, in the caves\, and under the trees. We imagine beautiful\, inspiring and meaningful moments that we share while taking in\, practicing\, or performing art in nature. The mini stages will host all kinds of activities\, they might be performances\, where the audience is observing\, interactive shows where the audience is involved\, or workshops where the participants learn something new\, or practice a special skill. The artists\, performers\, and teachers might perform their own show at one time and teach a connecting (or totally different) skill at another time in a different venue. We are all artists\, and we are all students. Teaching and learning\, performing and in-taking art are almost the same\, we all meet in the beautiful line in the middle. \n\n\n\nFACILITIES \n\n\n\nThe facilities of the old house are limited\, so we have built extra showers and dry toilets in the land. The kitchen will be closed for public use in these days\, food\, coffee\, drinks will be available for extra moderate cost.Parking is NOT available on site. If you arrive by car\, you will need to park your vehicle in Madronal\, or in San Mateo and walk to Camino Art House. This distance is about 800-1200 meter. Be aware that there is NO pathway by the road so you will need to walk on the asphalt road with the traffic so always pay especial attention and carry a light with you.Our land is located in a valley\, moving around in the area can be challenging\, and sometimes needs special attention. For this reason – although we did our best to secure the area -\, we are asking you to be responsible for yourself and you will need to sign an individual disclaimer when entering the site. \n\n\n\nENTRANCE FEES AND OTHER COSTS \n\n\n\nThe entrance fee for the festival will be separated from the accommodation and restaurant fees. We share all the income from entrance fees between the artists/teachers. So the more of you come the festival\, the more we can give to these fantastic people\, and the more program/activities you can enjoy during these days. \n\n\n\nEntrance fee: 20€/friday\, 20€/saturday\, 20€/sunday\, 50€/full festival (more info later) \n\n\n\nAccommodation: private room/cave: 45€/room/night\, dorm: 20€/person/night\, tent: 18€/person/night (we provide the tent and equipment)\, 15€/own tent/person/night (you bring your own tent and equipment) \n\n\n\nWe offer food and basic accommodation for the facilitators.

SUMMARY:Let’s go out with The Boys! Everything will happan to You! - improv thatre camp
DESCRIPTION:Let’s go out with The Boys! Everything will happan to You! \n\n\n\nImprov theatre camp 9 -13 March\, 2025 – Camino Art House\, The Den (Las Palmas) \n\n\n\nWhat happens when a Moravian actor\, Australian circus performer\, Slovakian mime\, and Czech polyglot improv wizzkid meet? The boys who go out together are a mix of actors and performers with various backgrounds\, ranging from classical drama theatre\, dance\, circus\, and physical theatre. They met during freeform improv classes at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and have been performing ever since. With the main purpose of exploring essentially total and utter free theatre improvisation without any structures ahead given\, they concentrate on physicality and movement as their main form of expression. They search and keep learning our own language\, consisting of dark Czech humor\, movement improv\, and an exquisitely bad taste in folklore singing. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are inviting you to spend 5 adventurous and exciting days with us and The Boys\, and let’s go out (to the stage) together! \n\n\n\nThis is not the first time for The Boys to come to Camino Art House\, so you can be sure they know what they do. Oh actually\, they never know! But isn’t it the best about it? \n\n\n\nImprovisation Theatre (in short: improv) is a joyful tool for expression\, self growth and learning about collaboration and interaction with others. With improv you learn self-confidence and body awareness while laughing a lot and spending your time with other funny people. \n\n\n\nThis 5 days will be about playing\, enjoying and having fun\, but at the end of the day you will be more confident\, more expressive with your words and with your body than ever! \n\n\n\nVenues \n\n\n\nWe have two vanues: Camino Art House (Vega de San Mateo) and The Den (Las Palmas). \n\n\n\nCamino Art House opened its doors in 2015. We welcome travellers who are always happy to be involved in our daily life and share their own experiences with us.We have an old building\, which is the central house\, and a large land\, where the camp will take place. We have caves\, meadows\, and terraces to use. We present the final show of the theatre camp here in Camino\, probably on the Rooftop Terrace. Camino is located in Vega de San Mateo\, easy to reach by bus 303 from San Telmo Park main bus station. The address is: Calle Vuelta del Molinos nr 1. This article will help you to find it. \n\n\n\nThe Den is a place that can transform itself. It can be an office\, a living room\, a study room\, a creative studio\, a photography laboratory or a rehearsal room. It can be many other things that we dream it for. It is all about the creativity and the need of us. We want the Den to be a meeting point to people who enjoy Camino Art House. The Den is a small Camino in the heart of the city. It is 2 minutes walk from the main bus station in San Telmo Park\, the address is: Calle Alonso Alvarado 5-7. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. \n\n\n\nDoes experience needed to participate on the improv classes? \n\n\n\nNot at all! No need for experience in any kind of movement or acting art. SUMMARY:THAI YOGA MASSAGE BEGINNERS COURSE WITH BALI – 12 DAYS INTENSIVE COURSE WITH CERTIFICATE
DESCRIPTION:We are honored to host such an important and joyful event at Camino Art House again. Traditional Thai massage is one of the tools that can guide and support you to live a meaningful and healthy life while helping others to reach the same. Thai massage is energy and body work\, and it functions as a therapy\, or as an act of loving kindness (Metta). The course starts with lunch at 1pm on the 24th January\, and finishes with lunch at 1pm on 5th February. \n\n\n\nWhat is Thai Yoga Massage? \n\n\n\nThai yoga massage is an ancient healing art based on the principles of yoga philosophy. As in hatha yoga\, the primary aim is to balance the sun and moon qualities of energy in the central energetic channel of Sushumna nadi and to provide our patient with an opportunity for spiritual growth.Through the combination of acupressure and applied yoga\, the practicioner uses the physical body as a tool to access the subtle bodies\, in order to bring physical\, mental and spiritual healing and balance.Thai yoga massage could be seen as a moving meditation. When performed with awareness\, equanimity and loving kindness\, practicing Thai yoga massage trains the body\, the mind and the heart. It becomes a mutual meditation and a powerful energetic exchange with many benefits for both giver and receiver. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOverview of the beginners course \n\n\n\nOur thai yoga massage training will focus on the systematic tuition of a full body massage. The aim of the course is for the participant to be able to give a full 2 hour treatment to an average healthy patient. During the course\, a much wider variety of exercises are introduced\, from which the eventual massage may be tailored to fit the needs of the practicioner and the patient (according to the dimensions of giver and receiver\, state of health\, flexibility etc.).In accordance with the spiritual traditions in which our massage is rooted\, the 72 hours of hands-on training will be complemented by morning yoga or tai chi sessions (1\,5 hours every day)\, in which we may experience the stretches\, pressures and energy lines worked on during the massage\, and early morning meditation sessions (1 hour every morning except the first day)\, in which the state of mind recommended by the tradition for thai massage is explained\, and can then be experienced and cultivated. The evenings will also include shorter periods available for questions\, bhajans\, dhamma talks and meditation practices (also cave meditation)\, camp fire and singing. The morning yoga and meditation sessions are optional but highly recommended parts of the course. \n\n\n\nWho is the course for? \n\n\n\nRequirements from the student: The course is open to all\, with an openness and affinity to give and receive on a physical\, mental and spiritual level. Since thai massage is done on massage tatamis on the ground\, a basic physical ability to spend time on the ground is the only physical requirement for participation. No previous experience in massage is needed. \n\n\n\nWhat is the material based on? \n\n\n\nThe backbone of the course is Asokananda’s „The Art of Traditional Thai Massage”\, the first publication on the topic in any language other than thai. The founder of the Sunshine Network\, Asokananda wrote this book in 1990\, and it still forms the backbone of teaching today. However\, as time passes\, teachers have made slight changes and new approaches to the subject\, which may be provided as handouts and manuals to complement the book. \n\n\n\nSilent retreat after the Thai Massage Course \n\n\n\nWe are inviting you to spend 4 days in silence with mediation\, silent energy work and bodywork in Santa Lucia in a hidden reatreat pleace. This activity is very meaningful and useful after spending 12 days with Thai Massage. In these days you will have time and space to process eveyrthing that you have learnt and feel the benefit of your work. Vegan food will be serverd 2 times a day (very basic). Transport will be organized from Camino to Santa Lucia and back. \n\n\n\nWhat is included in the course fees? \n\n\n\n11\,5 days of tuition (thai massage\, meditation\, joga or tai chi)\, and a printed manual. Vegan food (3 times a day) and accomodation in tents or shared room or shared cave room (no electricity in caves). \n\n\n\nThe course fee is 670€/person/course.Special discount for hungarians: 475€/person/course.Vipassana retreat (4 days): 120€/person/retreat \n\n\n\nHalf of the fee needs to be paid when applying (booking fee)\, the second half needs to be paid at arrival. \n\n\n\nCancellation: we can refund your payment until 10 days before the first day of the course. After this we cannot refund. \n\n\n\nWhat about certification? \n\n\n\nAll those successfully participating in the beginners course will receive a signed and stamped Sunshine Network certificate of their studies. This allows students to go on to advanced studies with teachers from the network. What the certificate allows you to do in the business sphere depends on the local regulations of the area where you wish to practice. These rules tend to change from time to time\, and from region to region. In some countries of the world\, it allows you to write off the hours you gained for a naturapath\, masseur or alternative therapist curriculum\, while some countries only accept their own registered schools. Feel free to ask Sunshine Network teachers in the given country for more information. \n\n\n\nHow many hours of study are certified? \n\n\n\nA course is usually a minimum of 72 hours of thai massage\, 16\,5 hours of movement\, and 11 hours of meditation training. That makes 108 hours. The evening programme varies according to venue\, and any training hours are added to this total. \n\n\n\nAbout our instructor: Balazs Nemeth\, Bali \n\n\n\nI have been enthusiastic about external and internal forms of healing since I was a child\, and I have been fortunate to practice traditional Thai massage as a profession since 1999. I completed my first courses in Chiang Mai at Chongkol. It was here that my mind was first captivated by this form: the limitless range of techniques\, the free\, spontaneous\, intuitive variation of the repertoire\, the therapeutic treatments… I spent 5 years practicing regularly\, and then followed an advanced course with Asokananda\, the founder of the Sunshine Network\, in which\, in a way that is accessible to the Western mind\, through his own life and behavior\, he taught that in massage\, in addition to the technique\, the quality that is expressed through the therapist’s body\, consciousness\, and soul during the massage is equally important… and he indicated that there is still room for me in his Energy Lines course in Greece. Unfortunately\, he passed away this year\, in 2005\, and I was not able to participate in more teaching with him\, but soon after\, I started regular retreats and teacher training with his successor\, Laurino\, a 6-year development process\, as a result of which I have been an instructor of the Sunshine Network since 2011. In parallel\, I went to Thailand in the winter to assist in Laurinó’s courses in the village of Lahu\, as well as to learn foot massage and therapeutic massage from northern-style Thai massage instructors. In 2007\, I had the good fortune to spend a winter with one of the still living legendary masters of the style\, Pichet\, in the massage temple in Hang Dong\, observing his impressive work\, his therapeutic approach\, his creativity\, playfulness\, Buddhist friendliness and humility poured into Thai massage. In my European and Thai courses\, I represent the same teaching chain and tradition that goes back to the time of the historical Buddha. In Hungary\, in this spirit\, I teach in massage schools\, hold lifestyle camps for participants in naturopath training\, and run the SriOm massage school with my dear friends. My experience in teaching Thai massage can be found in my book entitled “Nuad Bo Rarn – Introduction to Thai massage” published by Medicina in 2011\, which is the basic textbook for the 7-day courses taught in our country. In workshops from the beginning of the 2000s\, I teach beginners courses\, and share the forms that can be used as a logical continuation of the beginner’s course\, such as “Thai massage hands-free”\, “Herbal ball massage”\, “Thai foot massage”\, “Lower back pain therapies”\, and “Thai massage in side position ” courses. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Camino Art House \n\n\n\nCamino Art House opened its doors in 2015. Since than we have offered accommodation and have run different projects with artists. This includes exhibitions\, workshops in art\, health and lifestyle topics\, and many more events. DESCRIPTION:Terra Preta: Cultivating Space for Abundance – a Theatre Camp with Solal \n\n\n\n5-11 December\, 2024 Camino Art House\, Gran Canaria\, Spain \n\n\n\nWelcome to Terra Preta: Cultivating Space for Abundance\, a unique theatre camp designed to explore the interplay between creating space and preparing for new beginnings. This immersive experience uses theatre as a dynamic tool for personal growth\, community-building\, and overcoming obstacles. \n\n\n\nTerra Preta\, the ‘Amazonian dark earth’ is an allegorical symbol of our work through the week. It represents a nutritious soil where we can plant our seeds. A space that we cleared up to cultivate new ideas\, perspectives and narratives. Terra Preta is an ancient way of preparing the earth for planting\, contains not only earth\, but additional nutrients\, carbon and the care of the gardener. When this space is ready\, your seeds will grow fast\, strong and the healthiest way it is possible. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Camp \n\n\n\nThis theatre camp invites participants to explore the profound relationship between clearing space and preparing ourselves to welcome new experiences. We will delve into the essential process of making space—both physically and emotionally—before we can fully embrace and accept what is to come. \n\n\n\nThroughout the week\, we will examine the importance of understanding and discovering the spaces within us—our souls\, memories\, and hearts. This journey requires us to first identify what no longer serves us: the habits\, emotions\, and thoughts that we continue to hold onto\, even when they only add unnecessary weight to our lives. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will engage in improvisation exercises to help them process and let go of these burdens. Letting go is a significant task that varies for everyone—it can be quick or slow\, painful or liberating. Through movement and voice techniques\, we will explore different ways of releasing what no longer supports our growth. \n\n\n\nAs we prepare to receive\, and connect\, we will focus on understanding our desires and needs. We will learn how to ask for what we seek\, how to manifest it\, and how to bring it into our lives with intention. Finally\, through the co-creation of a performance as a result of the camp\, we will reflect on how to maintain and nurture this abundance\, ensuring that what we have received continues to serve us and remains aligned with our evolving selves. \n\n\n\nThis camp offers a transformative experience\, combining introspection\, creative expression\, and personal growth. Join us on this journey of clearing\, discovery\, and readiness to welcome new beginnings. \n\n\n\nWhen: \n\n\n\n5-11 December 2024 \n\n\n\nLevel and experience needed \n\n\n\nthe camp is suitable for totally beginners to advanced level theatre and movement lovers. You don’t need to be an actor or have any experience in acting or movement arts to attend the program. This is all about playing\, learning to connect to others while you discover your inner secrets. \n\n\n\nOur facilitator \n\n\n\nSolal has been developing their theatre practice from a young age and got acquainted with different styles ranging from classical\, naturalistic\, contemporary\, improvisation\, clowning\, dance and physical theatre. Throughout their studies\, they realized that what captivates them the most about any theatre practice is working as a group and collective. Having always felt that there was more to learn from the chaos of life than academia\, they chose to travel the world\, volunteering in several communities in Europe. They found joy and passion in sharing diversity of knowledge and experiences\, with the open mind of a child. They met antagontheaterAKTion on their way in 2022 and joined the group shortly after\, to strengthen their belief in the extensive experiment with both theatre and communal practice. As a teacher\, their speciality are improvisation\, stage presence and emotional training. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Overview \n\n\n\nThe workshop is designed to unlock creativity\, enhance stage presence\, and deepen the connection with both the self and the audience. We will be drawing from various disciplines to build a comprehensive toolkit for performers\, combining improvisation\, clowning\, physical theatre\, singing\, choreography\, and meditative practices. \n\n\n\nMethodology \n\n\n\nImprovisation: We will start each day with improvisation exercises. These will help participants to think on their feet\, embrace spontaneity\, and develop the ability to create compelling narratives and characters on the spot. \n\n\n\nClowning: Through the art of clowning\, we’ll explore vulnerability\, joy\, and the freedom to fail. This module encourages participants to connect with their inner child\, fostering authenticity and presence in their performances. \n\n\n\nPhysical Theatre: Our physical theatre sessions will focus on using the body as a primary tool of expression. Participants will learn to convey complex emotions and stories through movement\, emphasizing the importance of physicality in performance. \n\n\n\nSinging and Choreography: Integrating voice and movement\, we’ll work on singing techniques and simple choreography. These sessions aim to enhance vocal expression and build confidence in coordinating voice and body\, contributing to the overall dynamism of the performance. \n\n\n\nMeditation and Visualization: To ease into character work and support mental and emotional preparation\, we’ll practice meditation and visualization. These techniques will help participants center themselves\, connect with their characters on a deeper level\, and find creative inspiration from within. \n\n\n\nCollaborative Creation: \n\n\n\nA key component of this workshop is the emphasis on co-creation. While I am here to guide you and facilitate the process\, this experience is a collective endeavour. Your ideas\, influences\, and unique contributions are essential to the outcome. You are encouraged to take an active role—whether it’s proposing a song\, suggesting a movement\, or offering a new perspective on a scene. This workshop is about building a community where everyone supports each other\, creating a space of trust\, openness\, and shared creativity. \n\n\n\nOutcome: \n\n\n\nBy the end of the week\, participants will have developed a versatile set of skills that they can apply to any theatrical performance. The final performance will be a culmination of the week’s work\, showcasing not only the individual talents of each participant but also the collaborative spirit that has been fostered throughout the workshop. The result will be a unique\, co-created piece of theatre that reflects the collective creativity and shared effort of the group. \n\n\n\nProgram \n\n\n\nDec 5 \n\n\n\nCamino – 10am opening circle – 1pm lunch – 3-8pm activities – 8 dinner \n\n\n\nDec 6 \n\n\n\nNature – 8-9am breakfast – 9am meditation – 10am – 1pm activites in nature – piknik lunch – 3pm-7pm activities in nature 8pm dinner in camino \n\n\n\nDec 7 \n\n\n\nCamino – 8-9 breakfast – 9am pranayama\, meditation – 10-1pm activities – 1pm lunch – 3-7pm activites\, 8pm dinner – campfire with some connecting games/talks/tasks… \n\n\n\nDec 8 \n\n\n\nRESTING DAY – no activities \n\n\n\nDec 9 \n\n\n\nLas Palmas – 8-9am breakfast in Camino\, 9 meditation – 10-2pm activites in las palmas – lunch break (piknik?) 5-8 – open workshops in las palmas\, dinner in las palmas \n\n\n\nDec 10 \n\n\n\nNature – 8-9am breakfast – 9am meditation – 10am – 1pm activites in nature – piknik lunch – 3pm-7pm activities in nature 8pm dinner in camino – camp fire + cave gathering in dragon \n\n\n\nDec 11 \n\n\n\nCamino and SHOW – 6pm SHOW (on roof?) \n\n\n\nAbout Camino Art HouseCamino Art House opened its doors in 2015. SUMMARY:"Spacing" - Contact Improvisation and Contemporary Dance Camp
DESCRIPTION:Spacing – Creating Space for Welcoming the New Experience \n\n\n\nContact Improvisation and Contemporary Dance Camp \n\n\n\nCamino Art House\, Gran Canaria\, Spain \n\n\n\n9-14 November 2024 \n\n\n\nWhat is between letting go and reception? Between freeing up and allowing in? Between breathing out and breathing in? \n\n\n\nThere must be a beautiful inner space\, that we need to create\, discover or find right after releasing something to be able to be ready to intake. We cannot welcome anything until we have the space for it. This space can be created again and again. \n\n\n\nLooking for the Inner Space can be hard\, even scary sometimes. What can you do with an empty space? How long can you sit with it\, hold it\, or protect it? What is there for you? Are you able to let go? Are you ready to receive? \n\n\n\nDuring this dance camp we will discover how to find this space. Starting with letting things go that are not supporting us anymore\, we will practice the action of “spacing” and learn how to allow ourselves to take in what is offered to us. Dancing is a powerful tool to discover such mysteries things\, and to embody feelings through movement\, action and connection. \n\n\n\nOn this journey we will have two talented facilitators with us: Timi will lead us through contact dance and improvisation\, and Viki will be helping us through a more structured and technical way through contemporary dance. The balance of the two aspects will lead us to a beautiful journey. The camp is a safe place\, and we are holding the space for each other so you can learn and experience whatever is there for you to learn and experience. \n\n\n\nWelcome to our yearly contact improvisation and contemporary dance camp at Camino Art House. On these days you will be focusing on your movements\, and the connection between your body\, mind and soul\, in a conversation with others and your instructors. \n\n\n\nWhen: 9-14 November 2024 \n\n\n\nLevel and experience needed: the camp is suitable for totally beginners to advanced level movement lovers. You don’t need to be a dancer or have any experience in dancing to attend the program. Our aim is to help you to learn the wonderful connection with your feelings\, mind and movements. In this way this is not only a dance camp\, but a complex self-discovery camp. \n\n\n\nWhat you will experience:Daily theme classes in contact improvisation and contemporary dance styleExciting trips and dancing in natureLiberation of your energies\, movementsConnection to yourself and others around youInspiring environment of Camino Art House \n\n\n\nExperiencing real room dance class \n\n\n\nOpening up for dancing with others in one open workshop in Las PalmasHealthy nourishing vegan food \n\n\n\nWhat you will learn:Self-confidence\, freedom\, balance\, to play\, to stand up when you fall\, connect with others\, the nature of your body\, how to motivate yourself\, how to find inspiration\, how to let go\, how to make space for new experiences \n\n\n\nWhat you will unlearn:Self-doubt\, fear of unknow\, sense of confinement\, stiffness\, feeling stuck\, insensibility \n\n\n\nWhat is contact improvisation?Contact Improvisation (CI) is a dance form\, originated by American choreographer Steve Paxton in 1972\, based on the communication between two or more moving bodies that are in physical contact and their combined relationship to the physical laws that govern their motion—gravity\, momentum\, inertia. The body\, in order to open to these sensations\, must learn to release excess muscular tension and abandon a certain quality of willfulness to experience the natural flow of movement. Practice includes rolling\, falling\, being upside down\, following a physical point of contact\, supporting and giving weight to a partner.Contact improvisations are spontaneous physical dialogues that range from stillness to highly energetic exchanges. Alertness is developed in order to work in an energetic state of physical disorientation\, trusting in one’s basic survival instincts. It is a free play with balance\, self-correcting the wrong moves and reinforcing the right ones\, bringing forth a physical/emotional truth about a shared moment of movement that leaves the participants informed\, centered\, and enlivened. — Nancy Stark Smith \n\n\n\nWhat is contemporary dance? \n\n\n\nContemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation\, blending techniques from various genres\, including classical ballet\, jazz\, modern dance\, and lyrical dance. It focuses more on floor work over leg work\, and isn’t restricted by the rules that govern traditional dance forms. Instead\, it relies on improvisation and versatility and is characterized by freedom of movement and fluidity\, letting dancers explore the mind-body connection and ideally evoking emotion in the audience. Contemporary dance may communicate abstract ideas\, such as ethical values\, acceptance of self\, and timely social issues. Performers may perform this type of dance to various musical styles\, spoken word poems and songs\, or silence. \n\n\n\nOur facilitators and mentors: \n\n\n\nTÍMEA GYÖRKE (hu)\, dancer\, teacher\, movement- and dance therapist \n\n\n\nShe earned her degree in gymnastics training\, physical education and physical therapy at the Hungarian University of Physical Education in 1994. During this time\, she met modern and contemporary dances and Contact Improvisation. Since 2004 she has been teaching these dance forms for kids-parents (Family Contact – www.kontakttanchaz.wordpress.com)\, for teens in secondary school and for adults in university. She was a member of the organizers and teachers’ team of the Hungarian CI Festivals\, ECITE and CI events. She travels a lot to teach and to study as well. She collected her experiences as a teacher from Freiburg (CI Fest.)\, Gottingen (Contact meet Contemporary)\, Cluj-Napoca (Transcontact Fest.)\, Budapest (Contact Budapest Fest.)\, Marburg\, Copenhagen…As the member of Workshop Company and Group Tetra Ether she investigates improvisation and the connection between movement – music- visual arts\, organizing Impro Jams\, site specific and crossroads performances. www.tetraeter.wordpress.comWith the land artist\, Sabine Fazekas she led several workshops in the nature. From 2021 she became the member of L1 Independent Artists in Public Utility. It is mission to secure professional support for independent Hungarian artists in performing and creative arts. She is interested in – not just the physical motion\, but the soul – the „psyche” of the movement. This was the reason she started her studies in Psychodynamic movement- and dance therapy. \n\n\n\nDance classes:– will based on modern and contemporary dance techniques– we use easy acrobatics\, CI skills and improvisation as well– at the end we create small combinations and compositions \n\n\n\nOutdoor work:– we use “land art”\, free motion\, CI\, the nature and each other– we create bridge between nature and interactive body interventions– we develop our listening\, the awareness; create special connection with ourselves and with the nature around– reading the landscape and opening our perceptions help us to reconnect to the state of the early age’s global perception (synaesthesia) \n\n\n\nThe aim is to find the cohesion of the group by creating strong interactions in the nature. Therefore\, improvisation and freedom in motion will be encouraged and lead to install a particular communication between us.This combination is due to reinforce our connection to the nature and integrate deeply the inner and outer experience of being a part of Nature. \n\n\n\n——————————- \n\n\n\nVIKTORIA VARGA (hu)\, dancer\, contemporary dance teacher \n\n\n\nViktória was born on August 19\, 1968\, in Budapest\, Hungary\, is a dancer and contemporary dance teacher with extensive training and experience. Like I’ve always said\, if my first thought is “this will never work”\, it often yields some kind of magic if I decide to go all in anyway… killing expectations is a prerequisite. Same concept with traveling to new locations\, or considering various international contracts/live performances. If a prospect scares the hell out of me\, then it usually demands a higher position on my potential ‘to do’ list. Another good bit of advice along this line of thinking is to start before you’re ready. If all you do is wait until you’re ready\, then there’s a good chance that A) you’ll never be READY\, and/or B) you will have missed the immediate window of opportunity..I can attribute a substantial proportion of my past successes to pursuing my curiosity into the unknown. Doing things that scared me shitless. Facing the tasks my logical mind says no to… or “this is impossible”. Each one of these instances has both enriched my skill\, overall work\, portfolio\, heart\, mind\, and character in some way.” – Michael Grab \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease meet Michael Grab\, alias Gravity Glue! We are honored to host him at Camino Art House in December and invite you to his Photo Exhibition (in our Las Palmas Studio) and Balance Day (in Camino Art House in Vega de San Mateo). These days are going to be extraordinary! Not just because of his magical presence\, but also because we will study and practice the unknown\, we will master the universe\, the law of everything and more\, and we will learn about ourselves. Experimenting and challenging the „impossible”\, observing the most important energy of the planet: gravity\, will be our main focus. We will use different techniques\, methods and different environments. The only thing that will remain the same: the balance that we are all looking for. \n\n\n\n7th December\, 5pmGravity Glue Photo Exhibition – Camino Art Den (Las Palmas) \n\n\n\nWhat is balance?Definitions from Oxford Dictionarybalance /ˈbaləns/noun1.an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady. “she lost her balance and fell”Similar: stability\, equilibrium\, steadiness\, footingOpposite: instability \n\n\n\n2.a situation in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions. “the obligations of political balance in broadcasting”Similar: Fairness\, justice\, impartiality\, egalitarianism\, equal opportunity\, parity\, equity\, equilibrium\, evenness\, symmetry\, equipoise\, correspondence\, uniformity\, equality\, equivalence\, similarity\, levelness\, parallelism\, comparabilityOpposite: imbalance \n\n\n\nverb1.put (something) in a steady position so that it does not fall. “a mug that she balanced on her knee”Similar: Steady\, stabilize\, poise\, level\, prop\, position \n\n\n\n2.offset or compare the value of (one thing) with another. “the cost of obtaining such information needs to be balanced against its benefits”Similar: weigh \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur guest: Michael Grab \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMy name is Michael Grab\, and I began balancing rocks via “happy accident” in the Summer of 2008 while exploring Boulder Creek (Boulder\, CO\, USA). Since then\, curious spark has spiraled into creative passion\, way of life\, and prolific international phenomenon/movement. \n\n\n\nI quickly noticed the therapeutic/transformative effects that balancing and working with nature had on myself and others; in an artistic sense\, but also nurturing something uniquely human\, inspiring a sense of magic and peace\, luring awareness out of the mind and into the moment — ultimately cultivating a meditative presence.“Gravity Glue” is the alias I created to describe and share my experience in the realm of Stone Balance Art/Yoga \n\n\n\nGravity is the only “Glue” that holds these structures in equilibrium. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGravity Glue on the surface was initially created for sharing my balance art; However\, through time and experience\, the cultivated ethos of GG appears to demonstrate a process of learning to “flow” as an integral function of Nature. It is an archetype for creation\, whose key to the universe is creative active meditation and alignment with nature\, through which\, one touches/experiences infinity on a regular basis. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMusic improv workshop in the land\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n13th December\, 1pm – Gravity Glue Balance Day – Camino Art House (Vega de San Mateo) \n\n\n\nWhat is Rock Balancing? The process boils down to contemplative vertical stone arrangement; involving patience\, problem-solving\, critical thinking\, adaptation\, slow-breathing\, steady hands\, and a lot of other practiced skills… \n\n\n\nRock Balancing is: Worldwide Phenomenon\, Contemplative Yoga Practice\, Ephemeral Nature Art/Therapy\, Psychological Alchemy\, Magic. \n\n\n\nPhysical Ingredients: Rocks + Gravity \n\n\n\nMetaphysical Ingredients: Patience + Open/Empty Mind \n\n\n\n… \n\n\n\nWhat we will do on the Gravity Glue Day? DESCRIPTION:Streamflow\, contact improvisation and contemporary dance campCamino Art House\, Gran Canaria\, Spain17-23 Novembre\, 2023 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntroductionWhat is contact improvisation?Program of the dance campOur facilitatorsAccommodation\, food\, fees and contact \n\n\n\n\nWould you follow my lead and let yourself move with freedom? You can rely on me\, feel me\, trust me. Follow the call that is pulling you\, holding you and keeping you. This is the first step.Second: would you follow your own lead and let yourself move with freedom? You can rely on yourself\, feel yourself\, trust yourself. You are dancing\, they say\, but you know that this is not a dance. This is life. You live. This is your cycle of life. Like there is a cycle of water\, and cycle of streamflow… \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nphotos by Haukur Snorrason \n\n\n\nWhat is the streamflow? \n\n\n\nWater flows downhill due to Earth’s gravity (force of attraction between two masses) pulling it. Streams\, like rivers\, are gravity-driven bodies of moving surface water that drain water from the continents.Streamflow is the way in which water moves within a stream channel. It can be influenced by the source of the water\, the water speed\, the direction of the water flow\, and objects within the stream. There are two different ways that water can flow in a stream: laminar or turbulent. In the water cycle: Streamflow is water moving across the Earth’s surface in streams. Evaporation happens when water changes from a liquid to a gas and moves from the Earth’s surface back into the atmosphere. By Transpiration water is pulled out of the soil and released into the atmosphere by plants. In physics: Streamflow is the volumetric discharge expressed in volume per unit time (typically cubic meters per second (m3/s)) that takes place in a stream or channel and varies in time and space. \n\n\n\nWelcome to our very first contact improvisation and modern dance camp at Camino Art House. On these days you will be focusing on your movements\, and the connection between your body\, mind and soul\, in a conversation with others and your instructiors. \n\n\n\nWhen: 17-23 November\, 2023 \n\n\n\nLevel and experience needed: the camp is suiatable for totally beginners to advenced level movement lovers. You don’t need to be a dancer\, or have any experience in dancing to attend the program. Our aim is to help you to learn the wonderful connection with your feelings\, mind and movements. In this way this is not only a dance camp\, but a complex self-discovery camp. \n\n\n\nWhat you will experience:Daily theme classes in contact improvisation and modern dance styleExciting trips and dancing in natureLiberation of your energies\, movementsConnection to yourself and others around youInspiring environment of Camino Art HouseHealthy nourishing vegan food \n\n\n\nWhat you will learn:Self-confidence\, freedom\, balance\, to play\, to stand up when you fall\, connect with others\, the nature of your body\, how to motivate yourself\, how to find inspirationWhat you will unlearn:Self-doubt\, fear of unknow\, sense of confinement\, stiffness\, feeling stuck\, insensibility \n\n\n\nWhat is contact improvisation?Contact Improvisation is a dance form\, originated by American choreographer Steve Paxton in 1972\, based on the communication between two or more moving bodies that are in physical contact and their combined relationship to the physical laws that govern their motion—gravity\, momentum\, inertia. — Nancy Stark Smith \n\n\n\nOur facilitators and mentors: \n\n\n\nENIKŐ SZILÁGYI (Hu) is a contact improvisation teacher\, Structural Integrator\, dancer\, movement therapist\, Fascial Movement trainer. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHaving experienced many forms of bodywork she brought her focus on fascial therapy and Somatic Movement methods. It is mission to secure professional support for independent Hungarian artists in performing and creative arts. She is interested in – not just the physical motion\, but the soul – the „psyche” of the movement. This was the reason she started her studies in Psychodynamic movement- and dance therapy.Dance classes:– will based on modern and contemporary dance techniques– we use easy acrobatics\, CI skills and improvisation as well– at the end we create small combinations and compositions \n\n\n\nOutdoor work:– we use “land art”\, free motion\, CI\, the nature and each other– we create bridge between nature and interactive body interventions– we develop our listening\, the awareness; create special connection with ourselves and with the nature around– reading the landscape and opening our perceptions help us to reconnect to the state of the early age’s global perception (synaesthesia) \n\n\n\nThe aim is to find the cohesion of the group by creating strong interactions in the nature. Therefore\, improvisation and freedom in motion will be encouraged and lead to install a particular communication between us.This combination is due to reinforce our connection to the nature and integrate deeply the inner and outer experience of being a part of Nature. \n\n\n\nProgram: \n\n\n\nNov 17 FridayArriving\, cooking together\, introduction\, dinner \n\n\n\nNov 18 Saturday10-13 dance (camino)15-18 dance (camino) \n\n\n\nNov 19 Sunday10-13 dance (mogan)15-18 dance in the dunes (maspalomas)Sunset and dinner in Tauro \n\n\n\nNov 20 Monday10-13 dance – Roque nublo (50 min drive\, 1h walk to roque)/ dance somewhere on the way7pm sunset \n\n\n\nNov 21 Tuesday10-13 dance (Las palmas)Dance – las canteras or el confital.Evening hours: dance in room (experiencing real dance floor and difference of closed\, indoor environment from outdoor and natural) \n\n\n\nNov 22 Wednesday10-13 dance (camino)15-18 dance (camino)Camp fire \n\n\n\nNov 23 Thursday10-13 dance (camino)15-17 dance (camino)18.00 final show – Let Me Fall Festival opening show \n\n\n\nNov 23 -26 – Let Me Fall Art and Self-development Festival\, camino art house \n\n\n\nAbout Camino Art HouseCamino Art House opened its doors in 2015.
